Staff Backend Engineer - Alerting

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for the Alerting squad, focusing on providing an in-depth way for users to manage their alerts within the Grafana open-source project. This remote role involves building and scaling distributed systems for alert ingestion, delivery, and evaluation, working with Prometheus-based and Grafana-managed alerts. The team aims to unify alerting setup across on-premise and cloud environments. Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, driving projects from ideation to operation, contributing to open-source, and maintaining critical systems. Strong communication, customer focus, pragmatism in problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit are essential. Experience with Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages is preferred, along with experience in cloud development or systems engineering.
